1. What is private duty care?
Private duty care is one-on-one, privately paid home care. You get a dedicated caregiver and a flexible schedule built around your loved one, with personal care, meal prep, transportation, companionship, and more. No program eligibility requirements and no waiting.
2. What does Texas Medicaid cover for home care?
For those who qualify through Texas Health and Human Services (HHSC), Medicaid may cover personal attendant services such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands. Eligibility is determined by HHSC; our team helps you understand and navigate the process.
3. How does VA Aid & Attendance work?
The VA Pension with Aid and Attendance can help eligible wartime veterans and surviving spouses pay for help with daily activities at home. Eligibility considers qualifying service, a need for daily assistance, and VA income and asset limits. We help families understand the benefit and connect them with application guidance.
4. What's included in respite care?
Respite care gives family caregivers scheduled relief for a few hours, a full day, or overnight while a trusted caregiver looks after your loved one. It includes companionship, supervision, and help with daily activities so you can rest and recharge.
5. What's included in personal care?
Personal care covers help with everyday activities: bathing and oral hygiene, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, transferring and positioning, and medication reminders, always delivered with dignity and respect.
